Overview
The Primary School at Arab International Academy – Doha is guided by an educational vision that places the child at the heart of learning and recognizes curiosity and inquiry as the natural gateways to discovering the world and constructing knowledge. We provide a supportive and stimulating learning environment that encourages students to explore, ask questions, and connect their learning to their daily lives and real experiences.
Learning in the Primary School follows an integrated approach that promotes deep understanding through interconnected themes while developing thinking, communication, and collaborative skills. Through purposeful dialogue and the exchange of perspectives, students learn to appreciate diversity, build empathy, and respect others within a safe and inclusive classroom community. Each class is led by a homeroom teacher supported by an assistant teacher, ensuring individualized attention, continuous academic support, and consideration of students’ diverse learning needs.
Arab International Academy – Doha offers two academic pathways:
• Arabic Pathway, where most core subjects are taught in Arabic, with English taught at an advanced level.
• English Pathway, where English is the language of instruction, with Arabic taught at an advanced level.
In addition to Arabic and English, children choose to learn French or Spanish as a third language in both tracks starting in grade one.
These two pathways strengthen the Academy’s bilingual environment, allowing students to learn and live both languages within their daily school experience.
Alongside academic growth, we place strong emphasis on developing the whole learner by fostering resilience, critical thinking, and social and cultural awareness. Every question becomes the beginning of a journey, and every challenge an opportunity for growth, preparing students to become thoughtful, reflective, and responsible individuals who engage positively with the world around them.
